Fr. Virgil Cordano Center is a collaborative ministry of the Franciscan Friars at the Old Mission of Santa Barbara and the Daughters of Charity at St. Vincent's that is rooted in the Gospel and the Social Teachings of the Catholic Church. Faithful to the traditions of St. Francis of Assisi and St. Vincent de Paul, we provide a place of welcome and support for human and spiritual well-being for our sisters and brothers in need.

ST. VINCENT’S IN COLORS: I MADONNARI ITALIAN STREET PAINTING FESTIVAL

MONDAY, MAY 30, 2022 | After nearly a two-year hiatus, I Madonnari, the annual Italian street painting festival, brought thousands of onlookers to Old Mission during the Memorial Day weekend. Sister Maria Hoa Nguyen, DC, and several volunteers had been working for many long hours to bring colors to the lives of St. Vincent de Paul and St. Francis of Assisi – the two patron saints who continue to inspire the collaborative ministry of the Franciscan Friars at Old Mission and the Daughters of Charity at St. Vincent’s. The final result of this hard work is a beautiful mural, which highlights the mission of the Fr. Virgil Cordano Center in our community. Thank you to the generosity of our sponsors and supporters for making this truly remarkable mural possible!
